DAVID CENTER FOR SPACE EXPLORATION


The complete installation of all required for a complete plumbing, HVAC, and hot chilled water system. The complex is constructed to house a Saturn V Rocket for public viewing, a Smithsonian Artifact.


The construction schedule for the 75,913 square foot building was very aggressive with a nine month completion. Over seven miles of hot and chilled water pipe was required for complete construction with a portion of this being underground. Also included in the mechanical system are Chillers, Pumps, and a Boiler along with all the associated equipment. For the HVAC system there are number of Air Conditioning units and air distribution units along with 150,000 pounds of duct work. The plumbing included bathroom facilities for large number of anticipated visitors and kitchen facilities.
